Welcome to the Teds 'n Such page for the Spring Stars Online Show by Bright Star Promotions! My name is Tyler Crain-Davis and I have been making teddy bears since I was just 13 years old. This year I will be celebrating 27 years as a teddy bear artist!

How did I get started? During the holiday season in 1998, my mom and I teamed up to create some teddy bears as Christmas presents for family members. Admittedly, she did most of the work because I had no sewing experience. After the holidays, I loved what we had done and I turned to books, patterns, and the internet to learn more. Now I create all of my own designs from drawing the patterns to sewing, assembling, shading, and accessorizing.

Diving in the Great Barrier Reef

"Diving in the Great Barrier Reef" is a vignette that includes a base of hand-sculpted coral, a teddy bear, a jellyfish, and an eel. The base is approximately 9" across. It is made of polymer clay that has been sculpted to emulate different types of coral. They have been hand-painted with a protective glaze on top. Different colors and types of moss have been attached to the coral. A small glass bottle with a piece of paper saying "Bucket List" rests on the base. The base has a felt bottom.

The teddy bear is 7" tall and made out of brown alpaca. He has black glass eyes and a hand-stitched nose of black perle cotton. His paws and feet are made of brown ultrasuede with hand-sculpted claws/toes. He is fully (5-way) jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot. He has two magnets in his belly to aid in him "swimming" over top the coral. He sits on a wired base with two magnets to help him rest in place. He is wearing a purple plastic oxygen tank and his diving mask has "fallen" down to rest on a piece of coral.

The jellyfish is made out of hand-dyed pink/off-white mohair. The tentacles are made of pink feathers and wrapped wires. The eel is popping out of a sculpted rock on the base. It is made out of short speckled mohair and has black glass eyes.

Sandy Reef the Jellyfish

Sandy Reef is a jellyfish made out of a hand-dyed blue/aqua/off-white mohair. The main portion of the jellyfish is 5" with an overall height of 9" with his tentacles. He has safety eyes and a hand-stitched mouth of black perle cotton that is shaped into a smirk. His body is stuffed with polyester fiber. Around Sandy's base is a cream wool felt that has been hand-shaded in blue/aqua. Sandy's tentacles are made out of a mixture of perle cotton, light blue feathered ribbon, and cream faux plant stems. Sandy hangs on a 9" hook by a small metal loop attached to his head.

Skylar the Bear

Skylar is a 9" teddy bear made out of a hand-dyed light teal mohair with spots of old ivory and a dark tan backing. He has amber colored glass eyes and a hand-stitched nose of brown perle cotton on his long snout. His paws and feet are made out of tan ultrasuede with hand-stitched claws. He is fully (5-way) jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot.

Morgan the Bear

Morgan is an 11.5" teddy bear made out of a wavy gray mohair that has been hand-dyed with splotches of blue and pink/red. He has black glass eyes and a black hand-stitched nose made of perle cotton. His paws and feet are made of gray-tan ultrasuede with hand-stitched claws. He is hand-shaded on his face and paws/feet. Morgan is fully (5-way) jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot.

Moonbeam the Unicorn

Moonbeam is a 7.5" unicorn made out of an aqua-colored viscose. His mane and tail are made out of lime green faux fur with aqua spikes of fur mixed in. He has black glass eyes and black hand-stitched nostrils, with light blue shading. His arms/legs have hand-shaded hooves. Moonbeam's horn is hand-sculpted out of an iridescent cream clay with sparkles. He is fully (5-way) jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot. He's a mystical creature with a curious nature!

Buttercup the Unicorn

Buttercup is a 7.5" unicorn made out of a white viscose. Her mane and tail are made out of white faux fur with rainbow-colored tips. She has black glass eyes and black hand-stitched nostrils, with light pink shading. Her arms/legs have hand-shaded hooves. Buttercup's horn is hand-sculpted out of an iridescent cream clay with sparkles. She is fully (5-way) jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester and steel shot. She's a unique creature with a lot of sass!

Jonas the Bear

Jonas is an 11.5" teddy bear made out of a hand tie-dyed tan and blue mohair with an antique curl. He has black glass eyes and a black hand-stitched nose made of perle cotton. His paws and feet are made of tan ultrasuede with hand-stitched claws. He is hand-shaded on his face and paws/feet. Jonas is fully (5-way) jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot. This boy has long arms to give big hugs!

Roman the Rabbit

Roman the Rabbit is 9" tall and made out a cream mohair. He has black glass eyes and a stitched nose/mouth made of black perle cotton. His arms are bent and hug his tummy. His feet and inner ears are made of a light tan ultrasuede. His feet have hand-stitched claws. He is hand-shaded on his face and feet. Roman is fully jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot. Roman's large feet allow him to stand on his own!

Bao the Panda

Bao the Panda is a 12.5" panda made out of a soft, curly off-white and black mohair. He has black glass eyes and a black hand-stitched nose made of perle cotton. His paws and feet are made of a black ultrasuede and he has soft-sculpted claws/toes. He is fully (5-way) jointed and stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot. Bao is wearing a necklace made of several beads made out of glass, metal, and plastic in green, turquoise, cream, and gold. The centerpiece of the necklace is a golden key. Bao's name means 'precious treasure'.

Charlie the Bear

Charlie the Bear is an 11" teddy bear made out of a hand-dyed soft, curly mohair in shades of taupe and teal. He has black glass eyes and a black hand-stitched nose made of perle cotton. His paws and feet are made of a tan ultrasuede and he has soft-sculpted claws/toes. He is fully (5-way) jointed stuffed with a mixture of polyester fiber and steel shot and can't wait to give big cuddly hugs!

Terms: Payment is accepted through PayPal only. It is the most secure way for both you and I to handle the transaction. Payment must be made before an item will be marked as adopted.

Shipping is through UPS. Items typically take 3-5 days to arrive within the continental USA. Allow for more time outside of that area. Shipping prices are included for bears being shipped within the continental USA. If you live outside of the 48-contiguous states, please select the option for international shipping. An updated shipping cost will be provided via email for international shipping.
